Josh Povsner is a Patent Attorney of the firm. Josh joined the firm in 2016 after practicing at another IP firm in Northern Virginia since 2000. Mr. Povsner is engaged in all aspects of patent application preparation and prosecution, and has procured patents for domestic and foreign clients in numerous area including the electrical and mechanical arts. He has presented on IP topics including drafting patent applications for computer-related inventions, and the evolution and current state of patentability in the United States under 35 U.S.C 101.
Mr. Povsner's practice has extensively involved communications infrastructure, communications services, and electronic devices and components, but has also involved many other areas of electronics and mechanics.
Mr. Povsner holds a Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law (1995). Mr. Povsner is also a graduate of the University of Illinois - Chicago (2000), having received a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering; and of the University of Illinois - Urbana, having received a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering (1991).
He is a member of the Illinois Bar, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
